Environment Day Celebration
Event Start Date : 11/08/2018 Event End Date 11/08/2018

The world seems to be waking up to the issue of climate change and just how precarious the situation of the environment is. The condition of the environment hangs in the balance and it is the choices that we make that can make such a huge difference. Days like World Environment Day (WED) help bring these issues to the consciousness of people all around the world.

Since its inception in 1974, WED has developed into a global platform for raising awareness and taking action on increasingly urgent issues, from marine pollution and global warming to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. Millions of people around the world have been motivated to take action and now WED is a global movement celebrated in over 100 countries.

In the wake of our environment getting destroyed and to give students adequate exposure to the conservation of our environment, the Pre-primary Section and Std. I & II of D. A. V. International School, Mulund organized a Project Display and presented a few cultural programmes on Saturday 11th August,2018.

Classrooms and the corridors were decorated with everything associated with the environment. The exhibits of the topics such as ‘Save Water, Save Life’, ‘Say No to Plastic’, looked real and lively. A few students from Pre-Primary Section and Std. I & II explained the various uses of water, Drip Irrigation, Save Animals, Save Trees etc. respectively.

The whole ambiance became a feast to the eyes of all the visitors. The parents and the visitors were held spellbound by the melodious number and the enthusiastic and energetic dance performances put up by the tiny tots of Jr. KG & Sr. KG sections as a part of the Environment Day Celebration.

It was, indeed a great accomplishment. The Environment Day Celebration fruitfully achieved its goals of understanding the significance of conserving our environment.
